Celebrating the Spirit of Womanhood at Our College
The Farmers Day celebration was conducted on 29.04.2026 with great enthusiasm to honour the dedication and invaluable contributions of farmers towards agriculture and food security. The event emphasized the significance of sustainable farming, modern agricultural technologies, and the vital role of farmers in national development.
Faculty members, students, and invited guests actively participated in the celebration. The chief guest, Dr. P. P. Murugan (Director of Extension Education, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore), addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of sustainable agriculture and farmer empowerment. Special lectures and technical sessions were organized for farmers on Integrated Farming System (IFS), beekeeping, and mushroom cultivation to create awareness about innovative and income-generating agricultural practices. Experts shared practical knowledge on sustainable farming methods, scientific beekeeping techniques, and mushroom production technologies to help farmers enhance productivity and improve their livelihoods. Sales stalls were arranged by students, faculty members, and external companies, featuring agricultural products, value-added products, farm inputs, and innovative technologies for purchase, while promoting sustainable farming and rural livelihoods.
The program served as an inspiring platform to express gratitude to the farming community and to encourage young minds to contribute towards the advancement of agriculture. The celebration concluded successfully with a message of respect, appreciation, and commitment towards the welfare of farmers and sustainable agricultural growth.
