80th Independence Day Celebration
The College of Agricultural Technology, Theni, celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on 15 August 2026. The celebration brought together the management, principal, faculty members, staff and students to commemorate the nation’s independence and honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. The gathering reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity and national pride. The dignitaries addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of Independence Day and encouraging students to uphold the values of freedom, responsibility, discipline and service to the nation.
The celebration also featured patriotic cultural programmes and student performances, showcasing the talents and enthusiasm of the students. The event concluded with a renewed commitment towards academic excellence, social responsibility and contributing meaningfully to the progress and development of the nation.
