Cafeteria has been established at CAT which is thronged by students. The cafeteria is lined with Singapore Cherry trees to improve the ambience. The cafeteria has a coffee maker and provision for dispensing chilled fruit drinks. South Indian snacks like vada, baggi, gobi Manchurian, egg bonda are prepared freshly much to the delight of students. The students can also dine and chat at separate enclosure. A hand washing facility has also been provided. The staff dining facility is available at the cafeteria exclusively for the use of staff and other personnel. The cafeteria is provided with bamboo shades to improve the ambience. Stationaries are also available at the cafeteria based store. The canteen facility is available from 9AM to 6.30PM.
The cafeteria also houses a Documentation facility that caters to the documentation needs of the student. It has internet capability, a color printer, Xeroxing facility, lamination and binding capability.
Physical Education
- Play ground for Football and cricket of 3 acre.
- Kho-Kho court, Badminton court, Volley ball and Kabaddi court are available separately for boys and girls.
- Indoor games facility viz, carrom, chess, table tennis and shuttle available for boys and girls.
- Well laid out 400 m racing track with football ground and long jump pit.
- Sports shoes are provided along with track suit and house colours.
- Cricket mat with net practice facility.
- Gym – Back press, multigym provided in boys hostel.

- Students compete among houses for over all sports shield.
Club activities:
- Arts and photographic society, Nature club, English debating club, Tamil debating society, Dramatic club have been created. Enlightened staff monitors club activities every Wednesday.
- Students divided into houses and compete for points which are accumulated to decide grand champion.
- Club Inauguration day, CINCOF, Sports day, Tamilium, Hostel day and College day are celebrated along with World food day, Women’s Day and Science day.
The Library Contributes to the fulfillment of the College's mission by
Responding to the varying needs of the academic community by involving the faculty , the students and the administration in the development and periodic assessment of the library services and resources. Providing an environment conducive to the optimum use of library materials and an appropriate schedule of hours of service and professional assistance.
Participating in overall computing resources plan and providing for full library utilization of automation technology, physical facilities and equipment adequate to process.
Library Rules
- Strict and absolute silence shall be observed in the Library.
- Mobile phones are banned inside of college premises.
- Bags, Big handbags, Raincoat, Jerkin and Casual wears are strictly prohibited inside the library.
- Members are requested to keep their belongings at the entrance of the Library. However they are advised not to leave cell phones, purse, money, credit card and other valuables in the handbag outside the library. These items are liable to be lost.
- Library users are strictly prohibited from taking the borrowed and stamped books again inside the library.
If the due date falls on a holiday for the Library, the next working day will be taken as the due date. - Books will not be issued to members on the ID card of others.
- If any book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the person responsible shall replace it with a new copy or pay double the cost of the recent price and handling charges or as may be decided by the librarian.
- Membership Cards are not transferable. Books will not be issued to students on the Membership Card of staff members.
- Books will be issued subject to availability only.
- No sub-lending of books is permitted.
- Any kind of marking, underlining, clipping of books is absolutely forbidden. Readers shall be held responsible for any damage done to the book belonging to the Library and shall be required to replace such book or pay the value thereof.
- Absence from the university will not be allowed as an excuse for the delay in the return of books.
- Under special circumstances, the Librarian may refuse the issue of books or recall the books already issued from any member without assigning any reason thereof.
The following conditions are to be followed for the renewal of books
- The book has to be produced in the Library for renewal.
- More than one renewal will not be allowed.
- The Borrower will be responsible for any loss or non-return of any books issued against his / her original (or) duplicate ID Card.
- No reminders will be issued to individuals but consolidated list of defaulters will be displayed in the library notice board.
- New books and journals received will be on display for a week.
- The borrower will be responsible for any loss or non-return of any books issued against his / her original (or) duplicate Library Member ID Card.
- Reference books, Newspapers, Magazines, Journals should not be taken out.
- The Library may accept donation of manuscripts, books, periodicals etc. from the donors. Such donations once accepted will become the absolute property of the University.
- Library timings and fine structure are displayed on the Library digital display Boards.
- Overnight issue is available for selected reference books.

Experimental lab
The laboratory needs of the course work are met with 8 laboratories available exclusively for the purpose.The labs are equipped with Laminar Flow chamber, tissue culture rack, flame photo meter, pH meter, EC meter, Lux meter, dissection microscopes, compound microscopes, insect collection boxes, autoclave, oven, shaker, sox let apparatus, steam sterilizer, heating mantle, display charts, modules for each teaching. Glass wares viz., petri dishes, measuring cylinders, micro scope slides, cavity slides, Bunsen burners, sprit lamps, conical flasks, cylindrical flasks are also available.Meteorological observatory
CAT, Theni also has an B class observatory as per IMD standards. The lab is equipped with Sun Dial, Rain guage, Open Pan Evaporimeter, Stevenson Screen, Wind vane, Anemometer, Soil thermometers that have been established under the guidance of Met scientists from TNAU. The daily observations are recorded by student volunteers on daily basis both in the morning and afternoon.
