CAT, Theni Academic Council formulates the academic aims of the College, oversees the quality of education in the College, monitors the learning process and modifies it to suit the requirements of the students and their employability in job/entrepreneurial markets and establishes such policies that will promote all these.
The Academic Council is responsible for matters relating to the teaching, learning and research functions of the college, the establishment of college objectives and priorities, the development of long-term and short-term plans and the effective use of resources in the course of these pursuits. This Council enables the preparation of time bound master plan for developing and introducing various degree/diploma programmes in accordance with the objectives of Sree Krishna Education Trust and monitors its implementation. It is the policy-making body for the College in such areas as curriculum, quality of instruction, and admission policies that affect the academic life of the College.
Besides, this Council benchmarks the learning and teaching processes in the college against national and international standards of excellence and ensures continuous quality enhancement which is underpinned by leading-edge developments in pedagogy, research and scholarship. The Academic Council also makes Research and Development and Outreach policies in Agriculture and allied fields and enables programme development for achieving them.
